re: teach tape
Visual examples.
When I’m teaching a new technique…
I have a couple different options.
I can explain what the technique is supposed to look like.
I can act out the movements. (But I’m getting pretty old for this one…)
Or I can show the players a good piece of teach tape.
Obviously, the teach tape works best.
Because whether we’d like to admit it or not, coaching is sales.
We need to sell our techniques, systems, and game plans to the players.
That’s how we create buy-in, and how we create belief.
And the best way to sell a technique?
Showing film of the best Linebackers in the world using that same technique to make plays.
But finding teach tape takes time.
I’ve personally spent hundreds of hours searching for Linebacker teach tape.
Luckily…
I’ve put all of it into THE LB LIBRARY.
When you’re inside THE LB LIBRARY, you can simply search for a technique, find a few short clips of teach tape, and then show those clips to your players during your next meeting.
Simple as that.
